The Marina Building, Dover
Description
Groundworks were carried out to enable construction of a new Marina office for the cutting to the Granville Dock. A reinforced raft foundation 400mm deep was cast for the building along with associated drainage and service trenches.
Kerbs and edgings were placed to form walkways and road demarcation prior to the hard landscaping being installed.
Hard landscaping using fine materials along with some reclaimed historic items from other areas of the docks for the character were to be carried out by others.
