Description

Enabling works for the construction of a new a depot for the repair and manufacture of mobile and static accommodation to provide workshop, offices, mess rooms, staff training rooms as well as a extensive hard landscaped storage facilities for Pickerings Plant Ltd. Our works on site included:

- Strip site of some 17000m3 of material. This was moved in a cut and fill operation.

- Piling platforms Reinforced foundations and floor slabs.

- Installation of external concrete service yard with wash down area.

- Installation of 2 Surface water Attenuation Tanks with Bentonite liner.

Following ground stabilisation, 16000m2 of service yard was then capped with 200mm of Type 1 to form external hardstands. Service trenches for gas, water and electric along with street lighting were also excavated and installed.

Built to a 28 week programme, this new new steel frame building is located on the Eurolink Industrial Park in Sittingbourne, Kent. This latest modern new facilities is the latest addition to Pickerings eleven depots situated throughout England, with each depot managing an extensive fleet of mobile and static temporary accommodation units.
