Description

Work is progressing well on site in Shepherdswell, Dover for English Rural Housing Association, with whom we are working in partnership to deliver 13 new homes as part of a joint venture.

The scheme is the result of many years of hard work by Kent’s very first Community Land Trust (CLT), involving Shepherdswell and Coldred CLT working in partnership with English Rural HA to bring forward this site for development.

With the site granted permission earlier this year, the development will fulfil a housing need for local residents, providing ten affordable homes to be managed by English Rural, and three homes offered for open market sale by WW Martin.

The affordable element comprises a mix of apartments and two- and three-bedroom houses, while the open market sale element includes two detached single-storey bungalows and a further detached chalet bungalow.

The scheme, designed by OSG Architecture, sits on a sloping site in a rural village location and has been sensitively designed and will be landscaped to blend seamlessly within the surrounding area.
